Snoop Dogg’s Pimp Cup ↑
This bejeweled glassware is a “pimp cup” created for rapper Snoop Dogg in the early 21st century. The goblets were mentioned in rap songs for years before 50 Cent and two ladies emerged from a prop chalice during the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards. Snoop joined them onstage performing his hit “P.I.M.P.” with a dance number featuring feathered hats, fur coats, and babes in bikinis. The performer was born Calvin Broadus and went from a gospel choir to gang life in East Long Beach before hitting it big with Dr. Dre and En Vogue in the 1990s. The singer lived a version of the pimp life on a playboy bus tour in 2003. “I’d act like I’d take the money from the bitch, but I’d let her have it,” Snoop told Rolling Stone. “It was never about the money; it was about the fascination of being a pimp.”
